Catch up
Ok, so on Monday, I got back on the "healthy eating" wagon after who knows how long. The first day started off really well (operative word being started). I had my 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast (seasoned with some low sodium salt) and washed it all down with some water. For my morning snack, a clementine. Lunch came around and my stomach was talking to me. I had a bag of steamed veggies and some turkey and let's not forget more water. I was full, I was good (so I thought). Around 2 ish, my stomach started talking a little bit louder so had another clementine and some apple sauce. Stomach was not havin' it!!! Then to make it worse, my department had an early superbowl party!!! How could they do this to me on my first day?!?!? Didn't they get the memo that I was back on the wagon? Needless to say, with my stomach having a tantrum and those wings, hot dogs and cake looking like who knows what, I broke. I started off with a hot dog. I tore that thing up!! Best hot dog I ever had (not). But that wasn't enough. I went and had a slice of cake! Now I feel guilty. I should've stopped at the hot dog. Ok, I'll be better tonight. It's still early. I go home, have another bag of steamed veggies and turkey. I was good again, until an hour later. The bag of veggies had worn off. So now I'm lookin' and searchin' the whole house for a snack. Bingo, I found it!! Dulce de Leche ice cream!!! Yummy!! I did it again, I broke. So, looks like my first day was a bust. But there's always tomorrow. I promised myself I'd do better and I did. Whew!

Day 2 -the aftermath
I too had a HORRIBLE day, well the beginning - it involves the bank, the atm, and a negative amount in my account (thanks to the DAMN BANK).. I desperately needed something to calm my nerves. I had COFFEE!! I had to have it - but hopefully tomorrow I can get back on track.
Also Im still retaining water, not sure what that is all about - I will try and drink a gallon tomorrow to see if I can start flushing some of it out.

D2: Crash and Burn!!!
Forgive me Father for I have sinned! It has been seven hours since I fell off the wagon and had a baked potato for lunch. I am so ashamed. I just woke up in such a foul mood today and then work was horrible. I felt like eating bad was the only thing that I could control. Its funny how our emotions can dictate what we eat sometimes. Following my slip, I did maintain the diet the rest of the day. Hopefully I will be more successful tomorrow. If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again!

Day One
OMG! Day one for me started off a little rocky. Before lunch I was craving ALL things bread and sugar! I think the hardest part was realizing that I have not restricted anything that I eat in a really long time, which is kinda sad. Anyway, after a great yoga class, I was feeling good. Ready for Day Two...
Day One
Whoa!!! Pretty difficult, really, really, really wanted some coffee. Bread not so much, was also craving sweet candy like "Mike & Ike" - made some chicken veggie soup (very low sodium) Im thinking that should hold me for my lunches the remainder of the week. Day one wasnt so bad..

The Day before
Ok so we have embarked on this challenge of doing "no carbs" for 2 weeks. I decided to take it a step further and have now committed to doing it for the ENTIRE month of February! WHOA!!! This includes no sugar, no bread, no pasta, no rice, no potatoes, NO COFFEE - uggghhh! Only protein and veggies, and non-caffein tea. What in the world have I signed up to do???? So anyway, its the day before - I am going to have at LEAST 2 lattes, definitely eating some bread, maybe some pasta, DEFINITELY a dessert. Will I have time for all this?? I will make time!!
Tootles...
I will holla after my 1st evening.
